Arabic prints reversed or with broken letters

Usually the printer is in text mode, not a fault in the program.

  1. MSAD renders the receipt as an image with the display engine and then prints it, so letters join correctly on any printer. If they appear broken or reversed, the printer is running in text mode.
  2. In Settings → Printers, make sure the printer uses the "Windows driver" path rather than direct text mode.
  3. Print the test page from the "Test" button next to the printer — it contains Arabic, numbers and a barcode, and exposes the problem immediately.
  4. If the printer is on the network, confirm the IP is right, port 9100 is open, and the machine and printer share the same network.
